Collection I
Summer 2026
The family came to us with a room that fought them at every turn. A narrow galley, a low soffit, and a wall of cabinets that closed off the light from the garden. They wanted to cook together without stepping on each other, to seat friends without moving to another room, and to do it all inside a house that deserved to be treated with care.
Our brief was simple to say and difficult to earn. Open the room without erasing its history. Add function without adding noise. Let the kitchen feel like it had always been there.
We removed the soffit and carried the cabinetry to the ceiling, drawing the eye up and giving the room the height it always had on paper. A single unbroken island in warm walnut anchors the center, doubling as prep space, dining, and the place everyone gathers without being asked.
Hand applied wood veneer on the tall wall meets a matte graphite base, a pairing from Collection I chosen for the way the two finishes read differently as the light moves through the day. Brass hardware, kept deliberately quiet, ties the new work to the fittings the family had already loved elsewhere in the house.
Every panel was made to measure. Nothing was forced to fit. The result is a kitchen that looks effortless precisely because so little about it was left to chance.
